Jubilee Fields Trim Trail

We got to go round the trim trail after a couple of attempts in the past that were rained off and it was well worth it.

This will also go towards a few of the Beavers Badges so the fantastic turn out was excellent. As you know we are a very active section that likes to get out and about as much as possible to help the Beavers earn as many badges as they can.

2009 Spring Walk

24th March 2009 was our spring walk, this year we walked up the downs link from Southwater.  Our lodge leaders all took it in turns to have a go with the map and compass and they did a fantastic job as they were all able to show the next person where we were on the map, I think it helped

that some of them have been doing a bit of map work at school but its an essential skill and will help them when they move on to cubs.  Just click the photo to see the rest of them.

Bowling In Horsham

We took the Beavers Bowling on Tuesday 17th March 2009, it was loads of fun and most of them beat Fox.  We would like to congratulate Jamie for getting the highest score out of all the Beavers and  AJ who got the highest score out of the leaders so well done to you both.  Just click the photo to see what we got up to!

Horrid Henry Sleepover (14th/15th March 09)

We had our Horrid Henry Sleepover at Beacon Hill Campsite in Colgate, we had fantastic weather for it and managed to do everything but most of the time all the boys wanted to do was to go and build dens in the woods and play with sticks so they did.  We also tried painting canvases and going for walks in the woods.  To have a look at some of the photos just click the photo to the right.

 Congratulations

Aaron, Sam and Jamie have worked extremely hard to complete their Chief Scout Bronze Awards.  This award is the highest that a Beaver Scout can earn during their time in the Beaver Colony and is a fantastic achievement, Well Done!!!

Camp Blankets For Our Teddy Bears

We had our first week of our total craft this week and we most of us made our camp blankets for our teddy bears (don’t worry if you did no as you will next week).  As the Beavers were all so proud of what they achieved I thought I would put the photos on here so to have a look just click the photo to the right.

We are continuing this next week so don’t forget to bring them back!!!

Remembrance Day Trip To St Mary's

First of all I would like to say a big thank you to Vicar Brian Pritchard for welcoming our Beaver Colony in to his Church.  We all had fun on our visit to church and it was made a little more special as we had quite a few badges to hand out so congratulations to all of you that received badges.  I would also like to say a special well done to Mai who has been working extremely hard to complete her Chief Scout Bronze Award, Mai was presented with this last night by the Vicar who is a proud Queens Scout himself so it made it that little bit more special.
